In a previous post I explained a few ways how to run Windows 11 inside VMware Workstation Pro read here. But recently I received an error when deploying a new VM stating: There was an internal error while attempting to encrypt this virtual machine.
After a bit of poking around in the settings I found that while creating the VM I didn’t read the choices very well. I accidentily deployed the VM to my Microsoft OneDrive folder.
After deleting the VM and recreating it in another folder (not synced in Microsoft OneDrive) it works as expected. So another half hour of my life wasted but hopefully it wil save you time :-).
